WISC-TV (News 3 now)
I started at WISC-TV News 3 Now just eight days after graduating college on May 20, 2019. I wrapped up in Madison on May 18, 2022.
I produced local TV news four days per week. Typically, I did digital production on Wednesdays, writing web stories, managing our social media accounts and working on our weekend daysheet as our assignment desk. I produced the Fox 47 News at 9 (our TV share) on Mondays and Tuesdays. On the weekends, I produced for News 3 Now (Saturdays at 6 and 10, Sundays at 5:30 and 10). Throughout the weekend, I also managed Channel 3000's social media accounts and digital platforms.

I also had opportunities to produce special broadcasts or to be out in the field as a field producer. Below you can find the 2020 high school graduation special Born to Make History (Assistant Producer, Best Significant Community Impact - First Place at 2021 WBA Awards), coverage from Madison's first George Floyd protest on May 30, 2020 (Best Spot News Coverage - First Place at 2021 WBA Awards), and coverage of the aftermath of the derecho that tore though Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in August 2020 (Field Producer).

In addition to producing, I was also News 3 Now's Internship Director, doing everything from choosing interns from a pool of candidates at UW-Madison and Edgewood (Madison) College to training, managing, teaching and mentoring them.
