The Daily Illini is the student-run newspaper at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I joined the newspaper as part of the sports staff during the Fall 2015 in my freshman year and left in July 2017 when I was named Site Manager for SB Nation's The Champaign Room.

I worked on the on-air staff during my freshman year, first covering feature stories, but eventually covering the beat for the wrestling team (which had defending-NCAA champion Isaiah Martinez) and then the men's tennis team in the spring. ​I switched to print my sophomore year by covering Illinois club hockey, spring football, baseball and men's basketball teams.

In addition to working for The Daily Illini, I have also worked for the campus' radio station, WPGU 107.1 FM, which works closely with the paper. In Spring 2016 I began doing a weekly Daily Illini Sportscast on Thursdays with my partner Hunter Warning. I also was a personality/host on our Saturday roundtable talk show, titled "Saturday Start Up." ​

I also was a weekly guest on the daily sports talk show, Illini Drive, on WPGU 107.1 FM during my sophomore year.
